Rubber disc stop valves are mainly applicable to horizontally installed water supply and drainage systems and can be installed at the pump outlet to

prevent backflow and damage to the pump by water hammer.

They can also be installed on the bypass pipes of the intake and outlet pipes of the reservoir to prevent backflow of the pond water to the water supply system.
